Open Enrollment for 2018 Health Insurance:
Open Enrollment Timeline

November 1, 2017 – You can enroll for your 2018 health insurance and check to see if you qualify for lower cost insurance.
December 15, 2017 – The last to purchase health insurance with a January 1, 2018 start date.
January 12, 2018 – The last day to purchase health insurance without a qualifying life change event. Click here to learn more about what qualifies as a Life Change Event. Your effective (insurance start) date if you enroll after December 15 and before January 12, 2018 will be February 1, 2018.

Reset your password before November 1, 2017

Connect for Health Colorado requires you to reset your account password every ninety (90) days. You can follow the prompts to reset you password when you log into your account, call Connect for Health at 855-752-6749 or contact your local HCG and they can assist you in this process (before November 1). Successfully resetting your password before November 1 will help you avoid long hold times during Open Enrollment.

How we can help

Our team of Health Coverage Guides (HCGs) are trained to help individuals navigate Colorado’s state insurance marketplace, Connect for Health Colorado and assist in the enrollment process. HCGs also assist with Medicaid/CHP+ and SNAP applications. We have Certified HCGs serving the communities of Ridgway, Ouray, Telluride Area, Norwood and the Westend including: Nucla, Naturita & Paradox. We can schedule individual appointments or speak to your employees.

Insurance Enrollment Fairs Schedule

Telluride: November 11 and December 9 at the Telluride Wilkinson Public Library from 10am to 5pm.

Ridgway: November 4 and December 2 at the Ridgway Public Library from 10am to 5pm.

PLEASE NOTE: Please reset your password to your Connect for Health Colorado account before you meet with a TCHNetwork HCG during open enrollment. This will avoid long hold times after November 1, 2017. Log into your account and follow the prompts for forgot password; call the customer service center at 855-752-6749; or call your local HCG listed below.

HCG hours during Open Enrollment

HCGs hold regular office hours between November 1 through January 12 at community locations. We are also available to meet with you outside of office hours and on the weekends. Just give your local HCG a call to schedule an appointment.

Ouray/Ridgway at Ouray Public Health (302 2nd St.)
Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm

Telluride Area at Wilkinson Public Library
Mondays, 10am to 5pm
Alternate Monday hours: 11/6, 11/13, 11/20 and 11/27 from 12pm – 7pm

Norwood and West End
Naturita’s WEEDC Building (West End Economic Development Center at 230 W. Main St.)
Wednesdays, 10am to 4pm

Medicaid / CHP+ Assistance and SNAP

We are a Certified Application Assistance Site. Our Enrollment Navigators (eNavs) process and enroll eligible children, pregnant women, and families efficiently and effectively into entitlement programs such as Medicaid / CHP+ and SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program). You can enroll into Medicaid/CHP+ at any point in the year.

An eNav will guide you through the entire enrollment process – from assuring the enrollment package is complete and submitting the application; through approval and renewal. We have enrolled more than 1,200 individuals into Medicaid or CHP+ and have eNavs serving the communities of Ouray, San Miguel, and Montrose counties.
